Licenses
Much of what you find on 2oyun is the work of other people, and respecting that work is a core principle for us. This page explains the terms under which the games and other components on the site are used.
Open-source games hosted on our servers
We review the licence of every open-source game before adding it, and we only publish games whose licences allow commercial use and redistribution. Each game's page clearly shows:
- the game's licence (for example MIT, GPL, Apache 2.0 or CC BY);
- the name of the developer or development team;
- a link to the original source code;
- any attribution and copyright notices the licence requires.
We keep each game's original LICENSE file and copyright notices alongside its files. Whenever we modify a game, we say so on its page. Our changes are usually limited to removing tracking scripts and unnecessary external requests, small tweaks for mobile support and the technical adjustments needed to integrate the game into the site.
GPL and similar licences
For games released under copyleft licences such as the GPL, we keep the source code, including any changes we have made, available under the same licence. You can get it through the source link on the game's page or by e-mailing hi@2oyun.com.
Games from distribution networks
Games from the GameMonetize and GameDistribution networks are licensed for publication on portals through those networks and load inside a frame (iframe) directly from the networks' servers. All rights to these games belong to their developers and publishers; 2oyun does not own them and does not modify them.
The site's own content
2oyun's source code, interface design, logo, category descriptions and other original text are © 2oyun. They may not be copied or republished without permission.
Fonts and icons
- The Rubik typeface is used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
- Interface icons come from the Lucide icon library, released under the ISC licence.
Reporting a licence issue
If you spot missing or incorrect licence information, or you own the rights to a work and don't want it listed on our site, e-mail hi@2oyun.com with a link to the page and a short explanation. We treat licence reports as a priority and will correct the information or remove the content where necessary.
