Copyright & Content Notices

Last updated: 5 November 2026

This page is for rights holders who believe something on 2oyun infringes their rights, and for anyone who finds unlawful content on the site.

Where the games come from

  • Games we host (play.2oyun.com): independent games whose source code has been published openly. We only take a game when the licences of its code and its art and sound files allow commercial use. The licence file is kept with the game, and the developer, licence and source link are shown under "Credits and license" on the game page.
  • Games from distribution networks: networks such as GameMonetize license developers' games for publication on portals. The files of these games are on the network's server, not ours. The network knows who uploaded a game and on what rights, so we pass notices about these games on to the network as well.

Game descriptions, guides and category texts are published under the "2oyun Editors" byline. Cover images are either supplied by the networks or made from real screenshots of the games we host.

How to send a copyright notice

Email hi@2oyun.com with "Copyright notice" in the subject line. We need:

  • Who you are: your name or your company's name. If you act for the rights holder, a document showing that authority (power of attorney or letter of authorisation).
  • The work: the work you believe is infringed and information showing it is yours, such as a store page, registration record, first publication date or source repository.
  • The exact location on our site: the link to the 2oyun page or pages. A game title alone is not enough, because several games can share a name.
  • A statement: that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and that the information in your notice is accurate.
  • Contact details and signature: an email address where we can reach you, and your signature. An electronic signature is fine; typing your full name at the end of the email is enough.

Notices in the usual DMCA format are welcome at the same address. We are not a US company and have no registered DMCA agent, but we handle such notices the same way.

What happens next

  1. We read the notice and ask you for anything that is missing.
  2. If the notice is complete, we usually take the page down or disable access within 2 business days. Removed game pages return "410 Gone", so search engines drop them as well.
  3. If the game comes from a distribution network, we forward the notice to the network, which can remove the game at its source. If a user added the content (a comment or profile picture), we let them know too.
  4. We tell you the outcome by email.

When we forward a notice to a network or a user, we may include your name and contact details. If you don't want that, say so in your notice and we will only pass on the rights holder's name and what the notice is about.

Counter-notice

If the removed content is yours, or you have the right to use it, you can object. Email hi@2oyun.com with "Copyright counter-notice" in the subject line, including who you are, the address of the removed page, information showing your right to use the content (a licence, contract or your developer account on the network, for example) and a statement that the information is accurate. We pass the counter-notice to the person who filed the original notice. If the two sides don't agree, the content may stay offline until the rights are clear or a court decides.

Trademarks and game titles

Game titles, characters and logos are trademarks of their owners; mentioning them on the site does not imply any partnership or endorsement. We don't want to list games that use well-known games, characters or brands without permission. We regularly compare game titles against a trademark list and unpublish matches. If you spot one we missed, write to us as the trademark owner with the information above plus your registration details, and we will handle it the same way.

Comments, profiles and unlawful content

Comments and profile details are added by users. For this content we act as a hosting provider under Turkish Law No. 5651: when unlawful content is reported to us, we review it and take it down.

  • Comments: use the Report button next to the comment. When three different people report the same comment, it is pulled automatically and goes back for review.
  • Profile pictures, usernames or anything else: email the page link and the problem to hi@2oyun.com.
  • Court and authority decisions: send decisions of a criminal judgeship of peace or a competent authority to the same address. We apply them without delay once they reach us.

If a user whose content was removed for using someone else's work does it again, we restrict their ability to comment and upload images and, if needed, close the account.

False notices

Knowingly sending a false or unauthorised notice can harm the person whose content is wrongly removed and may lead to legal liability. If you are unsure, feel free to ask us first.
