Cookie Policy
Last updated: 5 November 2026
This page lists every cookie used on 2oyun.com and the other data we keep in your browser. How your personal data is handled in general is explained in our Privacy Policy.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website leaves in your browser. The site reads it back on later requests; that is how it knows you are logged in, for example. A cookie set by the site you are visiting is a first-party cookie; one set by another service embedded in the page is a third-party cookie.
Local storage (localStorage) does a similar job, but what it holds stays in your browser and is not sent to the server automatically.
How we group cookies
Following the categories in the Turkish Data Protection Authority's guide on cookie practices, we use three groups:
- Strictly necessary: the site can't work, or can't work securely, without them. No consent needed; they can't be switched off.
- Statistics: measure visits in aggregate. Only used if you allow them.
- Advertising: measure ads, stop you seeing the same ad too often and, if you allow it, choose ads based on your interests. Only used if you allow them.
The cookies we use
Strictly necessary (no consent needed)
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
2oyun-session | 2oyun | Keeps your session going; if you are logged in, records which account. | Ends 2 hours after your last action |
XSRF-TOKEN | 2oyun | Stops other sites from submitting forms on your behalf. | 2 hours |
remember_web_… | 2oyun | Keeps you logged in after you register or tick "Remember me". | 400 days or until you log out |
2o_v | 2oyun | Recognises ratings and likes you gave as a guest so the same browser can't vote twice. Holds an encrypted random ID. | 2 years |
__cf_bm | Cloudflare | Tells real visitors apart from automated traffic (bots). | 30 minutes |
cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Remembers that you passed a security check so you aren't asked on every page. Only set when a check is shown. | Set by Cloudflare, usually between 30 minutes and a few days |
Statistics (consent needed)
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Random ID Google Analytics uses to tell visits apart. | 2 years | |
_ga_* | Keeps page views within one visit together. | 2 years |
Advertising (consent needed)
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
__gads, __gpi, __eoi | Count ad impressions, cap how often you see the same ad, filter invalid clicks and measure ad performance. | 6 to 13 months | |
IDE, DSID (doubleclick.net) | Choose ads based on your interests and measure their effect. | DSID 2 weeks; IDE 13 months in Europe, up to 2 years elsewhere |
Google changes cookie names and lifetimes from time to time. The current list is on Google's cookie page. Advertising cookies are only used on pages where a Google ad loads, and only if you have consented.
Data we keep in your browser
The entries below are written to your browser's local storage to make a feature you use work. None of them is used for advertising or tracking, and they don't need consent. Clearing your browser's site data removes them all.
| Entry | What it holds | When it goes |
|---|---|---|
2o:consent | Your cookie choice and when you made it. | We ask again after 12 months |
2o:favorites, 2o:recent | Your favourites and recently played games. Synced with your account when you are logged in. | When you delete it |
2o:searches | Your recent searches. | When you delete it |
2o:votes, 2o:vt | Likes you gave as a guest and a random voting key. The key is sent with each like; the server keeps only a hash of it, for at most 180 days. | When you delete it |
2o:nick | The nickname you used for a guest comment, so it's filled in next time. | When you delete it |
2o:sidebar, 2o:theater, 2o:myg-sort, 2o:ui-sound | Your sidebar, theatre mode, My games sort order and interface sound preferences. | When you delete it |
2o:cmt-cta | When you closed the invitation to comment. | The box stays hidden for 30 days |
Cookies inside games
Games from distribution networks (currently GameMonetize) open in a frame, loaded from the network's own server. Inside that frame the network may use its own cookies and ad code. These are not controlled by our cookie notice and are governed by the network's own policy: GameMonetize privacy policy.
The games we host ourselves (play.2oyun.com) contain no tracking code and make no external requests. Some may use your browser's local storage to save your progress.
How we ask for consent
On your first visit a notice appears at the bottom of the page. "Accept" allows both statistics and advertising cookies, "Reject" turns both off, and "Settings" lets you choose each one. Rejecting does not stop you from using the site. Your choice is kept in your browser for 12 months, then we ask again.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: once Google ads go live, visitors from these regions are asked for consent through Google's certified consent management platform instead of our own notice; until then they see our own notice described above. That message follows the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF v2.2); you can see Google and its advertising partners one by one and decide for each.
Google Consent Mode
The site runs the current version of Google Consent Mode (v2). Before you choose, the advertising and analytics signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, analytics_storage) start as "denied". In that state:
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager don't load at all.
- The ad code may load, but it neither writes nor reads cookies and only requests non-personalised ads. Identifiers are removed from ad requests.
When you give consent, the matching signals switch to "granted". When you withdraw it, the new choice is passed to Google straight away.
Managing cookies
- On this site: the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page reopens the notice so you can change your choice.
- In your browser: you can delete or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, logging in and voting may stop working.
- Google ads: turn off personalised ads in Google Ads Settings.
- Other ad companies: opt out of personalised ads at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.
- Google Analytics: Google's browser add-on keeps you out of Analytics on every site.
