About Us
What is 2oyun?
2oyun is a free game portal that brings together HTML5 games you can play instantly in your browser. The idea is simple: when you feel like playing something, you shouldn't have to wait for a download, fill in a sign-up form or click through an installer full of ads. You should be playing within seconds. The site is available in Turkish and English and works just as well on desktop computers, tablets and phones.
Where do our games come from?
Our catalogue is built from two different sources:
- Independent games hosted on our own server. We pick these one by one. For each game we check the licence, make sure it allows commercial use, and clearly credit the developer, the licence and a link to the source code on the game's page. Where it makes sense, we strip out unnecessary extras such as tracking scripts and external requests.
- Games from game distribution networks. Networks such as GameMonetize license games from developers all over the world to portals. These games load inside a frame (iframe) directly from the network's infrastructure, and all rights remain with their creators.
How we choose games
Games in the catalogue go through automatic checks and regular sweeps: we unpublish games that fail to load or have broken artwork and weed out duplicates of the same game. Games that use well-known brands or characters without permission, gambling and adult content, and games with extreme violence are found by these sweeps and unpublished; if you spot one we missed, let us know.
Game descriptions, how-to-play notes and category texts are prepared in Turkish by 2oyun Editors, and every text passes a quality check before it is published. Not every game has a Turkish text yet: games without one show the distribution network's English blurb, and those pages are kept out of search engines. The number of games with Turkish texts grows every day.
Why is it free?
2oyun costs nothing to use and is funded by advertising. The ads you see on our pages, and inside some games, pay for servers and allow us to keep growing the catalogue. We do our best to place them so they don't get in the way of your fun.
Accounts are optional, data is kept to a minimum
You don't need an account to play. Without one, your favourites and recently played games stay in your own browser (localStorage). With a free account those lists are saved to your account and follow you across devices, and you can add friends, rate games and leave comments. You can read more in our Privacy Policy.
Our mission
We want everyone to be able to reach good games easily, wherever they are and whatever device they own. Giving independent game developers the visibility they deserve, respecting licences and offering players a clean, fast and safe experience are the principles behind everything we do. We review the catalogue regularly, remove games that no longer work and add new ones every week.
Who runs the site?
2oyun is independent; it is not part of any game studio, publisher or distribution network. The site is run by GEO Yazılım, a software company based in Turkey. Game descriptions, category texts and guide articles (Oyun Rehberi, in Turkish) are published under the team's shared byline, 2oyun Editors; we don't use invented author names or profiles.
